You are living our nightmare. Four years ago we were so excited to finally put our house on the market after 10 years in a very small (1100 sq. ft.) house. We did everything right to get it ready. Everything you did. Fixed it up, put many things in storage, had a consultant out and did everything she said, etc, etc. It sat on the market for 10mo. With about 160 showings! Not one bite. I can’t believe how similar our stories are. We found a house and put a bid on it. It was the perfect house!!!.....so we thought. It was on Brigadoon Dr., even the perfect street name. Well of course that house and others went by. I had to stop looking because it was too hard. My kids thought their mom was going to lose it because every time we left the house it had to be spotless and she finally just kept warming up the same cookies just to get the smell. We were getting so close to our realtor we thought we were going to have to invite her family for Thanksgiving (except we couldn’t…we had no dining room!!) Well, we did finally sell the house with two bids coming in at the same time. ***OUR HIND SIGHT is that for us, we have a strong faith in the Lord and truly believe we put our house on the market to soon, because the house that was provided us is way beyond what we could ever ask for. It’s not that it’s a mansion but just the right size for us. It is a walk out rambler with a huge entrance, a vaulted ceiling in the living room, a big backyard fenced in so we could finally get a dog, tons of closets and a sauna(which we never would have looked for, but do really love in the Winter). The house that we found was in a neighborhood of split-levels (ugh) and had just went on the market the week we had two offers on our house in South Mpls. We know that everything went according to God’s plan not ours. Thank you God! Okay, just to top this story off…our house in Mpls. was yellow with shutters too!!! I pray that God will provide for you too a house that is what you have wanted in your heart too. Debra
